IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DEADLINES
With just one week to go until we open the doors on this year's show, you can still save by booking your tickets in advance.
Don't worry about good old Royal Mail getting them to you; choose the PRINT AT HOME option if booking on the web and you can have them in your hands immediately! If for some reason you prefer (and you're quick), then you can still order tickets to be posted out.
We'll be posting the last batch out First Class early next week, but you'll still be able to order in advance and collect physical tickets at the show (if for some reason you can't/don't want to use the PRINT AT HOME facility) to be collected from the box office on arrival.
Deadlines for POSTAL ticket orders are:
- Posted tickets for Friday 13th Nov:- Order by Monday NOON absolute latest
- Posted tickets for Sat 14th/Sun 15th: - Order by Tues NOON absolute latest
Essentially, the short version of this message is - if you still want a physical ticket posted out to you, then BUY IT RIGHT NOW!
Any physical tickets ordered after these deadlines will be held for collection at the show (collection point will be clearly signed).
Order deadline for tickets to be collected is no later than 4pm the day before you're visiting (i.e. 4pm Thurs for Fri, 4pm Fri for Sat, 4pm Sat for Sun).
PRINT AT HOME TICKETS
These will be available to buy online right up until 23.59hrs the day before you want to visit e.g.
- Friday 13th tickets will be on sale
(PRINT AT HOME OPTION only) until 23.59hrs on Thurs 12th

(PRINT AT HOME OPTION only) until 23.59hrs on Friday 13th
- Sunday 15th tickets will be on sale

Monochrome Marvels on show
|
Not everything in life is black or white, except when it's on this year's Panther Club Stand.
The display includes the De Ville, this model winning a prestigious coachwork award in 1976 and gaining fame in the film '101 Dalmatians' driven by the evil Cruella Devil. There is also the forever popular Lima, a very easy car to own in all respects, and the J72 which represents the birth of Panther as a motor manufacturer. The line up is completed with two Kallistas, one being an early 1.6, the other a later 2.8 V6. 2009 also sees the publication of 'Dikappa183', the story of the Panther Kallista, written by Bruno Eismark and available for the first time at this show.
Of course Panthers ARE available in a full range of colours...

Classic Racing Legends on show
|
There are many amazing motorcycles steeped in racing history in this year's Classic Bike hall. Norton Owners Club celebrates its 50th anniversary with a series of production racers and special appearances by Peter Williams and Keith Eccles. Also appearing will be Chris McGahan, TT Rider and three times winner of the Manx Grand Prix, who will display his race winning 350cc Honda motorcycle on the Tamworth and District Classic Motorcycle Club stand. Eric Patterson's Land Speed record holding Bonneville will also be on display.
The Vincent HRD Owners Club stand will feature a collection of motorcycles illustrating the marque's sporting history from 1928 to present day including the HRD Super 90, the model on which Howard R Davies won the 1925 Senior TT. No line up of sporting Vincents would be complete without an example of the Black Lightning, the famous road racer and record breaker, and the lesser known 500 cc Grey Flash on which Vincent apprentice John Surtees first came to prominence. Around eight machines will span eighty years of Vincent history

Tales of the Unexpected
|
There are certain sights and sounds you'd expect to encounter at the Classic Motor Show, however this year you may see some very unusual sights indeed. We're not just talking about 'well I never' moments, such as spotting a Daimler boat on the Daimler & Lanchester Owners' Club or a rare and rather whacky-looking DKW Schnellaster F89L Komby van! We're talking about the highly unusual, exhibits which border on the odd.
The Ford Corsair Owners Club will be showing a Corsair which has been transformed thanks to the fitment of a big thumping V8 and the Rover P4 Drivers' Guild is bringing along the only replica of JET 1, a jet-propelled prototype Rover sportscar.
The Gay Classic Car Club will be exhibiting a stretched VW Beetle limo, based on a much modified Sixties car (there will also be a VW Campervan that is a hearse in there somewhere too) while the Morris Marina Owners' Club has got a Marina pick-up which has been transformed from workhorse to powerhouse thanks to the fitting of MG running gear.
