The Sporting Bears Dream Rides Garage will once again be crammed with a selection of classic cars that you can take a ten-mile ride in as a passenger in exchange for a charitable donation. Each day between 60-80 cars will be on display in Hall 2, where a 1930 eight litre Bentley will rub shoulders with a stunning Jaguar XJ220. A ferocious Lola T70 will try to outdo a 1934 Lagonda with its exhaust sounds. Fancy something bang up to date but out of your price range? How about the new V8 engine Audi R8 supercar! Or 'Just Nod', a replica of Noddy's car? Just negotiate your fee with the driver and away you go. There should be something for everyone with donations starting at a very affordable £10.

The Bears, as they are affectionately known, are a dedicated group of classic car and sports car enthusiasts who give their time, petrol and cars for free. Dream Rides at the Classic Motor Show have generated over £250,000 to date since it was formed in 1989.

If you can't afford a new classic this year, then maybe it's time to restore your current vehicle to its former glory so head to the Restoration Theatre for some helpful advice and hand-on experience. Sponsored by CES UK, this is where the guys from Leeds City College will be ably demonstrating various Restoration projects for your benefit! 'Mo' was found on www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk and restored to its former glory live on stage at the 2008 Classic Motor Show by Edd China from TV's Wheeler Dealers programme. Edd gave the classic red Mini the TLC it needed after five owners and 56,600 miles on the clock, ironing out any niggles and replacing worn parts with new ones such as a carburettor and chrome fittings including early bumpers with over riders, glass indicator lenses, headlight bezels as well as a new windscreen.

Once all the mechanical work was finished, the expert team from Meguiar's gave 'Mo' a full detailing using the full range of their world class car care products, leaving him looking as good, if not better, than new! They also left a gift pack of Meguiar's products in the back, for the lucky winner.
