Two Wheeled Wonders

The Diff'rent Strokers and The MPC Ural/Dnepr riders, two of the many new motorcycle clubs joining us this year.

The Diff'rent Strokers club focuses on Japanese two-strokes, 'grey' imports and limited edition bikes - so there's bound to be a couple of 'I haven't seen one of those before' moments.
And talking of unusual things on two wheels, the MPC Ural/Dnepr riders - enthusiasts of motorcycles with a very Soviet twist are showing off the flexibility of their machines. Motorcycles with sidecars, trailers, caravans and even boats attached are promised!

Oh la la…

For fans of Citroëns and ultra-rare classic cars, this year's show will mark a British first thanks to a joint effort by the various Citroën car clubs attending, in conjunction with Citroën UK.

Not content with bringing along one or even two prototype cars, the Citroën Car Club, the 2CVGB club and the Traction Owners Club will be showing four models - three never seen on British soil - to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the marque. These amazing vehicles are being brought to the UK from Citroën's Conservatoire in Paris especially for the show. Visitors will see a restored 1936 Citroën TPV or 2CV prototype, the 1956 C-10, a car nicknamed the 'Coccinelle' (or Beetle), the distinctive C-60 and the prototype which led to the creation of the Citroën CX as a replacement for the DS - 1971's Projet L.

Young Guns, go for it!

Newer cars are being welcomed into the classic fold this year with a first-rate line up of retro cars. Club Peugeot UK will are bringing along a couple of 304s plus a monstrous GpB 205 T16 rally special. Autobahnstormers will be showing cars which have practically disappeared from Britain's roads – a Monza GS/E, Carlton 3000GSI and a mighty Lotus Carlton while the MR2 Drivers' Club celebrates 25 years of Toyota's mid-engined sports car.

Joining established Seventies fast Fords, such as the AVO MkI Escort Mexicos, RS1600s and RS2000s will be a pair of rare Eighties MkI Fiesta XR2s thanks to the Fiesta Club of Great Britain. The Ford RS Owners' Club will have an RS500 Cosworth and a GpB RS200, and two generations of Granada will also be making an appearance on the Ford Granada MkI and MkII Drivers' Guild stand. The MkI Astra Club and the Vauxhall Cavalier-Chevette Club with be attending. And for lovers of British Leyland underdogs, the Morris Marina Owners' Club is showing a modified Marina pick-up with MG running gear. So let's hope Top Gear isn't planning to move anymore pianos around in the vicinity of their stand...
